Pulling up to this place looks like another Asian spot in Westminster. When you come in the decor is a step up. Service on on point. Very attentive, however they were empty. I'm unsure how they would be if it was prime time. I had a good experience. The price point is higher than other places. If the service stays consistent during busy times, it may be worth it paying more for service. Food was good, presented nicely as well. I really expected it to be a typical spot since my parents always raved about this place for food. I'd come back from time to time.

Most delicious escargot and baked catfish! My family always enjoys eating here. For 4 people, a medium size fish will suffice, although next time, I think I will order a large and opt out of getting the Bo Luc Lac. The Bo Luc Lac was only ok.

This is the OG location, so yes- it's a bit weathered down / dated compared to the newer spot. We went here for some ca nuong and Bo nhung dam. The catfish was perfectly cooked and crispyyyyy!! We called ahead to place our order, informed them we were about 45 mins away. Upon arrival, the fish was brought out fresh from the oven in minutes!! It came with all the veggies and rice paper fixings. I think they charged more for the rice noodles. My daughter ordered the beef cooked in vinegar broth and it was good!

I tried Favori's original location since the newer one wasn't open until later. It was empty around lunchtime on weekdays, making it a quiet and clean spot for a meal. Ca Ri Ga: 4/5 The curry was on the sweeter side and the chicken was deboned and juicy. The baguette was fresh and crispy, with an option to have baguette or rice. Ca Nuong: 4/5 So huge for the smallest size and definitely enough for 2-3 people, priced at $62.50. We requested more vegetables and there was no extra charge. The service was good, as they cut into the fish for us. While some parts of the fish skin were too tough to bite into, the meat was very soft and juicy. They also offered us fresh chopped chilis, which was a perfect touch to the nuoc mam. Would definitely come back!!

Came on Thursday night around 630 and there were pretty many tables open. We got seated pretty quick. Service was good, attentive with our iced waters and cleaned our tables between dishes, even with the itty bitties. Food was good. The fermented dipping sauce was on point ! I know some viet restaurants cater to a variety of customers so they tend to hold it back with the pungeon and bold, stinky flavor of mắm, but not here. That smell of fermented dipping sauce that lingers on your fingers after eating. Thats how you know ! As of June 20, pricing was 62 for small fish, 72 (or 82) for medium, 92 for big. Bún (rice noodles) was charged separately for 3$. Their banh trang was probably XXSmall, but it was on the high end that is very stretchy and thick enough if you want your roll on the fat side :) Goi bo tai chanh is okay. Missing some of sour and umami you usually expect in a Vietnamese goi. One star minus for the ambiance. The decor and ambiance is very, very dark, lots of mirrors. I thought i got in a mirror house. Bathroom is clean. Definitely come back :)

Had to say, I love Vietnamese food from the bottom of my heart and this restaurant just have the best fusion of my hometown in FR and Vietnamese food together, it's like dining in both countries at once! I loved the baked seafood and the beef salad, it was the best one I've had in town. Another dish that challenged me at first was the grilled catfish, I've never had anything like this before but once I've tried it and couldn't stop after. Service is excellent and fast with orders, please don't skip this place! it's not in a very popular neighborhood but it's definitely a "must visit"! Please don't let the boring neighborhood turn this gem down. Cheers!- JC

I haven't eaten here in over 30 years. I remember back in the day, this was one of the first high-end, romantic restaurant around. It was low-lit on the inside to give it a romantic appeal. The place for date night and not a hang out for group gatherings. Things have changed now and they turned on the lights. The food is still as I remembered with their signature dish being the whole fried fish. All the food we ate was surprisingly well done. Good flavors and portions. Staff were friendly and quick. They charge $15 for corkage fee which is a pretty good deal considering. I'm glad we brought our own as I wasn't too impressed with their selection. Price wasn't high and pocket friendly. The place was packed on this Friday night. Good to see it busy. If you haven't been here in a while, come back and give them a try again.

I've been coming here for almost as long as they've been open. 80% of the time, I've not been disappointed, but of course, as with most restaurants, the price inflation and the perceived value you get for your menu items has flipped the other way. A ca nuong small size that used to be $58 is now $65 the most recent time we dined. But from the dozen or so times I've dined over the years, their attentiveness to large groups makes it a go to occasion spot. I've watched the servers combine 3 or 4 four-tops in record time with one of them bringing a long wooden board from the back. Every time we come, half the restaurant is filled with groups of 8-12, even on weeknights. It's also a good sign when it's filled with mostly Viet diners. Along with the nước mắm, and mắm nêm, ask for the tamarind sauce that's not on menu . It goes well with the ca nuong! A $30 cab bottle pairs well with all the umami tastes and fills 4-5 glasses. The lâu is also great to eat family style! The Yelp waitlist estimates were incorrect to our benefit. The estimated 30 min wait ended up being just 5! Tons of parking and no one can miss blue awning out front! I heard they recently redid the bathrooms, yay!

It's one of the few Vietnamese restaurants good range of Vietnamese dishes, including a very popular grilled catfish! Nice clean atmosphere and the service was good. This place has been around for over twenty years and it is still very busy. The crispy baked catfish is massive even for the M size and easily fed our table of 5 . It was tender and flavorful and not too bony. The fish sauce is not too watered down . I don't really like the frog legs that much but my friend ordered it and I tried it but I don't recommend. The hot pot was tasty . Lots of variety, great quality dishes, and came in a timely fashion. Service was very attentive also.
